“Areas is excited to deliver a world class experience for Southwest passengers traveling through Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport. Our mix of unique concepts reflects the spirit of Los Angeles and the region,” said Xavier Rabell, CEO of Areas in the United States. “Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s high standards of quality and proven reputation make it the perfect fit in this terminal.”

Born and brewed in southern California since 1963, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is the oldest and largest privately held specialty coffee and tea retailer in the United States. This well loved west coast coffee stop also provides fare for all cravings – from light options to indulgent snacks.  The 762 sq ft concept will incorporate dynamic displays and grab & go service to deliver more than just a beverage. This is Areas’ second Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf concept at LAX. They also operate in Tom Bradley International Terminal.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is the third of four concepts set to open through 2017 in Terminal 1. It follows Deli & Co which opened in February this year, and California Pizza Kitchen which opened in July.  Coming up is Reilly’s, a modern take on the traditional Irish pub based on the Hollywood hot spot Rock & Reilly’s.
