The purpose of the ACI-NA Excellence in Airport Concessions Contest is to inspire creativity in the industry and to recognize innovative and outstanding airport concessions.  These awards help to demonstrate the growing importance of concessions to the total airport experience.  This year more than 300 airports in the US and Canada competed for distinction.

In the Best New Food and Beverage (Quick Service Concept) category, Areas USA was noted twice for two concepts in Chicago O’Hare International Airport.  Wow Bao came in 3rd.  Wow Bao is a Chicago favorite serving up steamed Asian buns which can be filled with a variety of options.  Honorable mention was given to Urban Olive which delivers fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine with a modern flair.

Areas USA also runs two concepts (LAMILL Coffee and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) in Los Angeles International Airport, Tom Bradley International Terminal which won 1st place in the Best Food & Beverage Program – Large Airport category.  LAMILL serves a lighter fare along with their coffee presented in a high-style, modern setting.  The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf offers one of the most extensive selections of coffee and tea from around the world.
