Giving Back: How Areas Made a Difference in 2022

This statement aligns well with our Areas Cares values which is why we are delighted to have partnered with the American Red Cross and St. Jude at various times throughout the year. These charities have been a consistent lifeline to people around the world when they needed it the most. Donating our time costs us nothing but can help make a positive difference in the communities we serve.

Through these partnerships, Areas helped many in need. During 2022, in partnership with the American Red Cross, we provided humanitarian relief in response to the Ukraine crisis at 13 of our retail locations. In Florida, we contributed to a campaign that provided relief to the victims of Hurricane Ian. Areas donated 100% of the profits from every “Florida Strong” tee shirt and cap sold at the five Sunshine Markets on the Florida Turnpike.

Through our donation drive for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, from Thanksgiving to Christmas, Areas will be contributing towards the mission of finding cures for children with cancer. During our most recent St. Jude campaign, 2,130 guests donated to the cause at all of our points of sale throughout our system.
