Clint WestbrookAt the age of 17, Clint began washing dishes in a restaurant whose general manager spotted talent shining within him. He eventually set Clint up on a management training path where his hard work and abilities would lead to a soaring operations career opening restaurants and theme parks for Disney, Wolfgang Puck and Aramark. “It was an amazing, high-quality experience that I can take wherever I go,” says Clint of his days at Disney.

For Areas, Clint will be responsible for driving the efficiencies of our business operations, developing and executing revenue growth strategies, and elevating team performance and development goals to grow our next generation of leaders.

He emphasizes his focus is on people and that he leads with talent. “I look for the best people for available positions and make sure they understand what their role is, how they will contribute to the organization, and why,” says Clint. “I try to inspire people to exceed their own expectations. I am very calm as a manager and try to instill confidence in people without micromanaging them.”

His extensive operational experience across several hospitality sectors includes managing at regional, national, and global levels. His first big job was with the Walt Disney Company where he held leadership roles, both domestically and internationally, in business operations and brand experiences.

Subsequently, he moved on to Wolfgang Puck Worldwide where he oversaw daily operations and strategic planning for 37 Wolfgang Puck Cafes and 13 Wolfgang Puck Express concepts.

His longest run was with Aramark, a multibillion-dollar food service, facilities, and uniform services provider where for 18 years he held senior-level positions and was part of the leadership team in the $1.3 billion global sports and entertainment division. At one point during his tenure there, he was VP of Market Development in Brazil where he served as Managing Director for the FIFA Games, and VP of Global Operational Excellence where he spearheaded corporate growth initiatives and operational strategies across 23 countries.

“We are delighted to have a person of Clint’s caliber join our team,” says Carlos Bernal, CEO of Areas. “His comprehensive background in operations and prior accomplishments within the hospitality industry, along with his servant leadership mindset makes him a perfect fit as we embark on our strategy and mission for growth.”

“I am thrilled to work with the Areas team to strengthen operations and grow the business,” says Clint. “It’s an exciting time at the company, especially with the recent win of the Houston Hobby airport contract where will be operating 10 new restaurants. I look forward to adding fresh talent to our best-in-class operational team.”
