Areas was a sponsor at the event, which aligns with the company’s aspiration to elevate its culinary reputation and become better known for its chef-driven cuisine.
Schneider mingled with revered Host Chef Gavin Kaysen and Ment’or Chefs Paul Bartolotta, Emma Bengtsson, Thomas Keller, and Ming Tsai. “It was an amazing night at Mara at the Four Seasons in Minneapolis,” says Schneider. “It was a pleasure to support Ment’or BKB and Team USA for the Bocuse d’Or this year.”
The Bocuse d’Or Competition is the world’s most prestigious culinary competition. The Ment’or foundation was originally created to nurture young chefs to compete at the high level needed for the Bocuse d’Or. It has since expanded its mission to provide educational grants and opportunities for young culinary apprentices.
The Bocuse d’Or Competition gathers teams of chefs from 24 countries who show off their haute cuisine techniques and creations throughout a two-year period. The competitions take place in different countries and the winning teams qualify for the final match in Lyon, France.
Team USA 2023 includes Coach Robert Sulatycky, Chef Jeffery Hayashi and Commis Franco Fugel who also attended the charity event.
