Lopez looked at solutions offered by several major companies but did not find the value benefits she was seeking. Until she clicked on the PATH https://drinkpathwater.com/ deck and discovered a reusable, recyclable water bottle that is sleek and appealing produced by a company determined to break the world’s addiction to single-use plastic water bottles.
“I truly believe we need to be rid of plastics,” says Lopez. “This bottle is made out of aluminum and can be refilled as many times as you want, then recycled from cap to bottle.” PATH conducted a customer engagement survey and the average refill was 10 times. However, some customers have claimed that they have used the bottles consistently for more than a year.
Compared to other waters, PATH is value-oriented because Areas’ costs are similar to other plastic water bottle brands and the retail price of $6.99 is comparable to rivals that are not reusable.
The bottles are customizable with stylish options designed by the company’s graphics team and at first come with ultra-purified water with a pH balance of 9.5+ in still, alkaline and sparkling.
To help drive sales, PATH is giving the top three Areas salespeople a $100 gift card plus a free case of water at each airport or service plaza it is being rolled out at. The contest is being held for the first three months of each roll out so there will be winners every month.
PATH water will soon be rolled out to Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP) and within four months half of all Areas locations will offer the product.
