goHappy

It is no secret that increased engagement with associates will help foster a path to success, a fact that prompted Michele Garcia, Director, Learning & Development and Change Transformation, to search for a way to keep our frontline team up to date on company information.

She found the right solution in the goHappy platform—a simple yet effective communication tool to increase engagement with frontline teams.  The texting module offers a streamlined setup process allowing Areas to send messages to all associates from day one and ensuring everyone receives information in a timely way.

How it works

Getting information to frontline associates has not been an easy task, to say the least. With goHappy anyone with a smartphone or flip phone can receive direct text messages initiated by team leaders and/or General Managers. No need for associates to sign up or download an app.  Many types of information can be shared such as links to benefits, community volunteer opportunities, company contests, and associate recognition for important achievements.

Team leaders will have the ability to build their own communication templates and send videos of encouragement or recognition to associates. Additionally, they will no longer need to worry about keeping their phones updated with associate contact information since goHappy automatically keeps track of that for them.

The platform is designed to be a one-way service so associates will not be able to respond but are always encouraged to contact team leaders and the HR teams directly.

Michele thoughtfully explains how this new communication tool will benefit many different team leaders. “I think of someone like our Director of Asset Protection and Risk and his team,” says Michele. “What a great tool this is for them to easily put out different periodic messaging or safety alerts and reminders.”

Michele notes that goHappy will be up and running shortly. “We will be going from zero to sixty in very little time.” She expects Areas to be able to reach 2,200 to 2,300 associates on the frontlines within the coming weeks.

“I am excited to unite our Areas associates in a new way,” says Michele. “goHappy allows for an effective way to communicate and engage with our associates at all levels.  We can more formally acknowledge their important moments as well as share key Areas updates.”
