A reception followed the ceremony where food and beverage concessions were invited to present a special taste menu.

Terminal developers, Westfield, collaborated with Areas’ operations team to set up stations for each of their brands.  Areas included four of their eight brands from terminal 5 – Kofe Powered by Intelligentsia, Hub 51, Wow Bao, and Tocco.  It was a festive atmosphere as different acts entertained the crowd.

Clete O’Conner, General Manager of ORD, said, “It was a privilege for Areas to participate in such a grand event.  We are proud of our brands in ORD, and it was great to see people lined up for a taste of our distinctive menu and operational excellence.  Our partners in Westfield and our operations team worked together to put on an impressive showing for these iconic Chicago restaurants.”

Kofe Powered by Intelligentsia served coffee and an assortment of their pastries.  Hub 51 stood out with their short rib tacos, tuna poke, and mini carrot cake.  Wow Bao served a variety of their famous baos including spicy Mongolian beef and teriyaki chicken.  Tocco’s classic Italian offering included caprese shooters and sliced porchetta alla romana.
